South End PTA

South End PTA Membership Drive

This year the South End PTO decided to change to a PTA.  By joining with the NC PTA Organization, our PTA is able to take advantage of programs and services not found in a PTO.  It also gives us a non-profit status allowing all contributions made to your PTA tax deductible. It has taken the Board time this school year to get everything together to make this changeover happen. It may seem late in the year to hold this membership drive but we need you!

Here are some PTA Member Benefits:

  • Name recognition as part of a national organization

  • Access to grant opportunities

  • Teacher scholarship Opportunities

  • Training for local leaders

  • Publications and 24/7 website resources

  • Information on pending legislation and policy

  • Volunteer education advocates

5 GREAT REASONS TO BE PART OF PTA

  1. Be in the know. PTA helps you keep up with what’s happening in your school and how you can support your child’s education.

  2. Access great resources. PTA provides information on topics ranging from homework help to bullying prevention to media safety to child health and more.

  3. Build relationships. PTA connects you to other families through meetings, events and helps build a sense of community.

  4. Hone your skills. PTA offers opportunities for you to use your talents to benefit children and their schools.

  5. Speak up. PTA can be away to effectively suggest changes at your child’s school, in your community and be more involved in making them happen.
